Canker sores are small ulcers that appear inside the mouth, most often on the inside of cheeks or inside the lip.
They are not a major health problem and every person, at least once in a life face with this discomfort. Instead, canker sores can hurt very badly, causing troubles when eating.
Normally, canker sores heal without medicine, but this process can take up to a week. Otherwise, if ulcers are more severe, a treatment with antibiotics is required.
Fortunately, there is a simple ingredient that you can use to get rid of canker sores.
- alaun powder
This is a salt that can be used both as an antiperspirant, due to its liquid absorption properties, as well as in the kitchen, especially for pickles.
But, if you add alum powder to the canker sores, the liquid inside of them will be extracted from this ingredient and the ulceration will heal. It seems that this treatment is also very effective for herpes.
Here's how to use alum powder as a remedy for canker sores:
- apply a layer of alum powder (about the size of a pea) directly to the ulceration area;
- let it act on the ulcer surface for about 60 seconds (be careful not to swallow the powder!);
- spit out the powder and don't rinse the mouth with water. Within 24 hours, the ulceration will disappear or it will not hurt you at all.
You need to be very careful when using this remedy, because the alum powder is toxic when ingested. A small amount will not affect you, but it's good to keep out from swallowing it.
It is best to use the remedy before bedtime, because during the day you will rinse your mouth without knowing with various liquids.
Pregnant women should not use this remedy without seeing their doctor.
